Job Description:
A company is looking for an Outpatient Auditing Specialist to
perform coding quality assessments and provide education related to
outpatient facility coding.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct outpatient facility encounter reviews and ensure accurate
coding assignments using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS
Provide coder education and prepare final reports for coding
audits, discussing findings with client facility
representatives
Develop and implement educational programs for clinical and coding
staff to enhance documentation and coding procedures
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
5+ years of outpatient facility coding and/or auditing
experience
RHIA, RHIT, and/or CCS credentials required
Preferred experience in recent academic medical centers or level I
trauma centers
Knowledge of regulatory changes and coding guidelines
Ability to manage multiple cases and maintain workflow
efficiency
