Job Description:
An exciting opportunity awaits a skilled Sushi Sous Chef to join
the team at Komodo, a dynamic restaurant within the Groot
Hospitality organization. Key responsibilities include overseeing
daily food production, establishing operational standards, and
supervising staff. Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring food meets corporate specifications and health
standards.
- Maintaining proper rotation of food for quality and
freshness.
- Monitoring sales and adjusting prep production levels.
- Performing daily line checks with front-of-the-house
managers.
- Conducting kitchen walkthroughs to ensure food quality and
cleanliness standards.The ideal candidate will possess strong
leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion
for hospitality. A Bachelor's degree in Culinary or a relevant
field, along with a minimum of 5 years' experience, is required.
Japanese food preparation knowledge and excellent organizational
skills are also essential.This role requires the ability to work in
a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under pressure. The
individual must be able to transport up to 40 pounds on occasion
and speak, read, and understand basic cooking directions. The
